The Worlds Best Rely on AMB's TranX Pro
System
The TranX Pro Timing System is trusted by the 24 Hours of Le Mans,
NASCAR, IRL, MotoGP, World Superbikes, AMA Pro, Champ Car
World Series, IMSA, Shanghai F1 Circuit, Porsche's Leipzig
Testing Grounds and many others. These premier race
organizations rely on AMB to provide accurate, live split
times, pit speeds, speed traps, race results, driver
identification and more for the world's most exciting
events. The TranX Pro system is customized to meet the
specific needs of our pro-level customers including
ultra-accurate times to 3/10,000 of a second, as well
as custom software and hardware
configurations
24 Hours of Le Mans
At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the race organizer and
timekeeper, the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO),
utilizes the TranX Pro system and its TranX Pro DriverID
Transponders. These custom transponders identify which of
the teams drivers are in the car throughout the race. The
driver data makes it easy for fans to keep track of who is
on the track and what laptimes they are turning. In addition
to the results, the ACO also provides live split (segment)
times to race teams and fans via the web and television. An
ACO affiliate in the United States, the American Le Mans
Series sanctioned by IMSA, relies on the same DriverID
Transponders and TranX Pro system for their events which
include the 12 Hours of Sebring. The 24 Hours of Le
Mans has relied on AMB for official results since 1989.
NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck
Series
NASCAR uses custom features developed by AMB engineers.
One of the most recognized improvements includes the Freeze-the-Field
functionality built into its scoring software: AMB's
Timegear 2. This new feature creates an instant restart
lineup when the caution flag comes out based on where each
driver is at any given point on the track. Drivers no
longer need to "Race to the Yellow", which increases
safety for everyone on the track.
NASCAR uses the TranX Pro Pit Speed System since the 2005
season. TranX Pro Track Side Units connected to Pro Detection loops along
pit row track the speed of each car ensuring everyone is obeying the pit
speed rules. NASCAR has relied on AMB for official results since
1996.
Indy Racing League (IRL)
One of America's popular open-wheel racing organizations, the IRL
utilizes the TranX Pro system to its full capability. In
addition to providing times to the 10,000th of a second, the
IRL provides live split times and speed traps from ten
detection points around the track. The IRL uses AMB's
Timegear 2 software, which keeps track of each detection
point and the scoring for each race. Race data from the TranX
Pro system is fed live to digital scoreboards,
television crews, the IRL web site, and race teams in the
pits. Like NASCAR, the IRL uses the TranX Pro Pit Speed
system to reduce speeding in pit lane. The AMB system has
been in use at the IRL since 1998.
AMA Pro Racing
AMA's timing and scoring staff relies on the TranX Pro timing
system to produce live segment times and accurate results for
its professional motorcycle racers. Using the Timegear 2
software and a custom SQL internet module, the AMA
streams live results to its web site for fans around the
world. AMA's live results application, which is updated
every twelve seconds, features interactive content with racer
photos, bios, and more.

"The AMB TranX Pro system supported by the Timegear software
provides
the perfect Timing and Scoring solution for the Indy Racing League. The
TranX Pro hardware is easy to use and very reliable. The Timegear software
is easy to setup and configure. The numerous modules within the Timegear
software provide an endless array of downstream data solutions for the
media, television, and race teams. Both systems are backed up by
outstanding support from both the European and US offices. "
-Mr. Jon Koskey - Director of Timing and Scoring
Indy Racing League (IRL) - USA
"I have been using the AMB systems since 1998 with a variety of
different racing series, and the AMB decoders, transponders, and other
hardware have proven to be bullet-proof in terms of reliability and
standing up to real-world racing conditions. I've seen them go through some
pretty rough
situations and "keep on ticking". The Orbits timing software that we are
currently using has been excellent in terms of data collection, and
flexible enough no matter what the data distribution plan is. "
-Ms. Lynda Polk - Chief of Timing
International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) - USA
"With the introduction of Timegear along with our wireless networking
capabilities, we have been able to collect and distribute invaluable data
for our teams, the media and our fans. AMB timing systems and software
have
enabled AMA Pro Racing to continue to set the standard in motorcycle racing
technology and information distribution"
-Mr. Ken Rogers - Director of Timing & Scoring
AMA Pro Racing - USA
"AMB's TranX Pro hardware and Timegear software have been the
ultra-reliable foundation which allows The Champ Car World Series Timing
and Scoring Team to collect and deliver high quality data race after race,
season after season. "
-Bill Skibbe - CCWS Timekeeper
Champ Car World Series - USA
